Three Kingdoms Online is a free to play MMORTS game based on an epic warring era between different factions of a divided ancient China. It puts together elements of classic role playing, real-time strategy and city-management in a browser based game with high-quality graphics.
Three Kingdoms Online is set in the chaotic times of the end of the Eastern Han dynasty in ancient China. Ambitious warlords fought with each other to assure the place in court. Being capable in gathering talents around, three of them, Cao Cao, Liu Bei and Sun Quan successfully built the empire of their own. Making the best use of wisdom, players will join this era by taking one of the three sides to unify Three Kingdoms and become an Emperor.
Choose from 3 different factions, each with specific characteristics both positive and negative, this will influence your gameplay style along the game.
- Wei: Stronger but also more expensive soldiers. An extra space in the building queue provides a better chance to develop economy. More powerful in the late stage of the game.
- Shu: Primary soldiers are the most cost efficient. Very aggressive at the early stage, thrives on invading others.
- Wu: Highly effective Hidden Warehouse can protect your resources when you have enemy invading. In the later stage of the game, this can help you to survive overwhelming enemies.
Upon starting the game, players choose from one of six scenarios that determine the initial layout of power in ancient China. The scenarios loosely depict allegiances and warlord holdings in the novel. After choosing the scenario, players determine which warlord(s) they will control.
The first thing you should do is to upgrade your resource fields to obtain more resources, and build various buildings to strengthen your military. When you possess enough strength, you can explore the surrounding area or fight with other players.
There are 641 epic heroes in game. Players can hire them from the Career House. You may conquer other cities and capture heroes from other players.
