Starting today, players can download Grepolis Toolbox for free in the Android market. Among other things, the app features push notification alerts of incoming attacks, plus trade and expansion options. The Toolbox is expected to give developer InnoGames valuable player feedback for use in current development of full-functionality Grepolis iOS and Android apps.
“The Grepolis Toolbox is InnoGames’ next step in this greater mobile campaign, riding on the tails of a successful mobile launch of Tribal Wars. We’ve always had great player feedback and involvement in the development process, so launching the Toolbox in order to get feedback for a full-functionality app was an obvious move for us,” explained Hendrik Klindworth, InnoGames co-founder and managing director. InnoGames’ mobile campaign includes future plans to release full-functionality apps for every title.
The developer gained initial experience with Grepolis by creating a mobile web version of the game, which has been visited about four million times since its launch five months ago. Prior to that, the first native app release of Tribal Wars resulted in 250,000 downloads and 50 million game sessions on iOS and Android.
