Infernum Establishes Supervisory and Advisory Board with Prominent Leadership

Johann Butting, Martin Korbmacher, Sean Kauppinen, Jess Mulligan and Dave Wolverton to begin work immediately for video games company

BERLIN – April 03, 2012: Infernum, the Berlin based developer and publisher of online games today announced that the supervisory board has been refreshed with new additions Johann Butting and Martin Korbmacher, accompanied by the launch of an advisory board with industry experts, Sean Kauppinen, Jess Mulligan and Dave Wolverton.

Former Google Manager Johann Butting is an expert in online marketing and distribution in the media industry. He was formerly CEO of Holtzbrinck Digital and spent 10 years working in the online industry in the United States.

 

The top manager Martin Korbmacher is managing director of Event Horizon Capital & Advisory Ltd., and has held senior executive positions in investment banking and corporate finance for Credit Suisse, Dresdner Kleinwort and JP Morgan in Germany, England and the United States.

 

Sean Kauppinen, CEO of the International Digital Entertainment Agency, has 17 years of experience in the games industry and has held CEO, COO and CMO roles with a number of games industry startups. Previously he held management positions with Sony Online Entertainment, Ubisoft, and other prominent game companies during which he was involved in the launch of over 540 games titles and multiple new platforms.

 

The co-author of the online gaming bible Designing Online Games: An Insider’s Guide, Jess Mulligan, is a pioneer and veteran of the MMO industry and has spent the past 26 years in senior positions, helping to lead the production and operation of more than 50 games (including Ultima Online and Asheron’s Call).

 

Dave Wolverton has sold more than 20 million books as a New York Times bestselling author and has written work for Star Wars and The Mummy. In addition, he has worked as a film producer and video game designer (Starcraft; among others) and is considered an expert in the development of transmedia stories and IPs.

 

Infernum employs over 30 staff in Berlin and Shanghai. Prior to market entry, Infernum has already exceeded 400,000 registrations for its first title Brick-Force, a cross-platform online game.
