Gunshine.net Story:

Gunshine.net takes place in Dawnbreak City, an artificially created island that is ruled by an evil megacorporation called Labycore. Labycore, and its leader Sid Lovens, attract visitors to the island by promising liberty and opportunity. The harsh reality becomes clear only when you land on the island.

Birth of Labycore

Twenty years ago, an up and coming technical innovations corporation, Labycore, revealed a promising solution to the world’s overpopulation concerns. Dawnbreak Isle endured several years of growth, prosperity, and ingenuity. Top scientists from both Labycore and its collaborators made several breakthroughs in commercial, civilian and military applications.

Rise of crime

Eventually the isle was saturated with both organized crime and random violence. Labycore and Dawnbreak Isle became targets of hostile corporate actions, trade embargoes, and outright blockades.

The Wild Districts became just as wild as the name says: any uncontrolled, unprotected or unorganized block falls under this category. In these, crime is rampant, and justice belongs to those who have the biggest guns.

Guns for Everyone

Meanwhile, Labycore’s weapons research division has become the corporation’s most profitable business unit. The breakthrough was discovering an amazingly cost-effective method of real world testing and QA: the Guns for Everyone program.

Disguised as a plan to empower Dawnbreak’s citizens against violent criminals, Guns for Everyone escalated the violence to a whole new level. Cheap weapons are available in vending machines on every street corner, and the watchful eyes of Labycore’s security cameras record every firefight for precious data.
